Inertial Labs, a VIAVI Solutions company, recently demonstrated its latest advancements in high-precision navigation and motion tracking at the World Defense Show 2026 in Saudi Arabia.
The company focused its exhibition on a portfolio of Inertial Navigation Systems (INS), Inertial Measurement Units (IMUs), and Attitude and Heading Reference Systems (AHRS). These technologies are specifically engineered to provide GNSS-denied navigation solutions for platforms operating in environments where GPS signals are contested or unavailable.
The integration of these systems is becoming increasingly vital for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs), and various autonomous systems. By utilizing sensor fusion and GNSS-independent navigation, the hardware enables accurate orientation and stabilization for mission-critical applications such as Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR), as well as targeting systems and loitering munitions.
The exhibition served as a strategic venue to engage with global defense leaders, original equipment manufacturers, and integrators. These discussions highlighted the growing role of inertial sensing in modern warfare, particularly regarding electronic warfare resilience and the requirements of next-generation autonomous operations.
Inertial Labs remains a provider of precision guidance systems, continuing to innovate in response to the evolving needs of the international aerospace and defense markets.
