Volz Servos GmbH & Co. KG (Volz Servos), a developer of actuators for military, aerospace and defense applications, has been officially certified according to EN/AS 9100, confirming its electromechanical, mission-critical solutions meet the high quality and reliability standards.
EN/AS 9100, based on ISO 9001, has additional strict aviation requirements. This means Volz Servos delivers high quality design and production, delivery reliability, long-term product maintenance and comprehensive production documentation, crucial for actuators in safety-critical defense and aerospace applications.
The certification ensures every component and step in Volz Servos’ manufacturing process is fully transparent and traceable. Aviation companies also require the EN 9100 certificate as a prerequisite for collaboration, so Volz Servos’ achievement aids its integration into existing defense supply chains, builds trust and reduces risks for companies and customers.
To achieve this certification and quality standard, Volz Servos identified and clarified all internal processes and specified responsibilities. The company also more than doubled its storage capacity to enhance traceability, and strengthened its risk management processes to minimize the risk of errors.
