DA 30-HT-MCCS Actuator

The DA 30-HT-MCCS actuator from Volz Servos is a high-torque version of the DA 30 series, built for defense and aerospace applications that require durable performance and precise control over extended service cycles. Utilizing a brushless DC motor and a contactless position sensor, the actuator eliminates mechanical wear and minimizes electromagnetic emissions, ensuring consistent operation in electrically sensitive or high-vibration environments.

Its saltwater-resistant aluminum housing is HART-coated for corrosion protection, sealed to IP67 standards, and equipped with integrated mounting brackets for both horizontal and vertical installation. The internal design features an eight-stage, ball-bearing-supported steel gear train with an ANSI multi-tooth drive shaft for stable torque transfer. The actuator supports PWM input through either galvanically isolated or single-ended CMOS connections, with RS-485 communication available for command input and diagnostic feedback. Real-time reporting of position, voltage, current, and temperature supports in-field reliability monitoring, while optional internal humidity sensing extends system protection for demanding UAV and defense operations.
