24–32 V, 30 mm brushless actuator with dual-interface diagnostics & sealed aluminum housing

The DA 30-MCCS actuator from Volz Servos is a brushless actuator engineered for precision, durability, and sustained operation in defense and aerospace platforms. Building on the DA 30 series, it combines robust mechanical construction with reliable electronic control, providing long service life and dependable performance in vibration-prone and thermally demanding environments. Its brushless DC motor and contactless position sensor eliminate wear mechanisms while maintaining high power delivery and stability in continuous-duty applications.

The actuator’s housing is CNC-machined from saltwater-resistant aluminum, treated with a HART coating for corrosion protection, and sealed to IP67 standards for dust and water resistance. Integrated brackets allow flexible installation, and the internal eight-stage, ball-bearing-supported steel gear train ensures smooth torque transmission. The actuator supports standard PWM control via galvanically isolated or single-ended CMOS connections, as well as RS-485 serial communication for position feedback and diagnostic data such as voltage, current, and temperature. Optional configurations include redundant RS-485 communication, RS-422-level PWM compatibility, and internal humidity sensing for enhanced operational oversight in critical defense systems.
