Volz Servos has announced the appointment of Dr. Vladislav Apostolyuk as the company’s new Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
An aerospace engineer with extensive experience in autonomous flight and avionics, Dr. Apostolyuk originally joined the firm as Technical Director in 2025. He succeeds the former CTO, Mark Juhrig, who passed away in late 2025.
In his new capacity, Dr. Apostolyuk will oversee the company’s technical roadmap and the advancement of its core technologies. The role involves ensuring that flight control and actuation systems meet rigorous aerospace performance and robustness requirements while pushing the boundaries of current industry standards.
Vladislav Apostolyuk wrote on LinkedIn announcing his new position, “Stepping into this role is both an honour and a responsibility I take very seriously. My focus will be on strengthening our technical roadmap, advancing core technologies, and ensuring that Volz Servos products not only meet today’s aerospace requirements but set new benchmarks for performance, robustness, and innovation. Together with the talented engineering and production teams, I’m committed to pushing our flight control and actuation technologies to – and beyond – the current state of the art.”
Phillipp Volz, CEO of Volz, stated, “From the very first conversation, Dr. Apostolyuk captivated us with his outstanding combination of experience, expertise and energy. And what’s more: He not only knows the requirements of our customers from theory, he actually created them – playing a leading role in eVTOL working groups with EUROCAE in the development of certification standards. We are delighted having him in our team! in the past months he has proven to be one of a kind professional but also a well respected team member!”
Dr. Vladislav Apostolyuk has a family background in aviation with his father being an aerospace scientist. “I have never been not into aviation”, he remembers his childhood and youth in Kyiv. Following an extensive and successful academic career in Ukraine and Singapore, he decided to apply his expertise in uncrewed and autonomous flight to accelerate real projects.
In 2018, he joined Lilium as a Senior Engineer for Autonomous Flight, later becoming the technical lead for Avionics. As Technical Director and now CTO at Volz Servos, his in-depth knowledge of certification is crucial for developing components that will make aviation projects of numerous Volz customers a reality.
