DA 36-LP Actuator

The DA 36-LP actuator from Volz Servos is a compact, low-profile brushless actuator engineered for UAV and defense applications where installation space is limited but high reliability and performance are essential. Designed as a streamlined alternative to the DA 26 and DA 30 series, it maintains equivalent strength, durability, and environmental protection in a reduced height format. The actuator’s brushless DC motor and contactless position sensor eliminate mechanical wear, delivering extended operational life and stable performance under continuous vibration and high-load conditions.

Constructed from saltwater-resistant aluminum, the DA 36-LP housing is HART-coated for corrosion resistance and sealed to IP67 standards for full dust and water protection. The actuator integrates horizontal and vertical mounting brackets and includes an eight-stage, ball-bearing-supported steel gear train with a drive shaft available in DIN spline or square form. Connection options include a MIL-specified Glenair Superfly connector or integrated cable with cable gland. Standard PWM interfaces are available as galvanically isolated or single-ended CMOS connections, while optional RS-422 and RS-485 communication provide diagnostic data on voltage, current, temperature, and internal humidity, supporting precise control in critical defense operations.
