High-Torque Motors for Military & Defense UAVs

High-Torque Motors for Military & Defense UAVsAllient’s specialized range of high-torque drone motors has been optimized for the high performance and thrust required by military and defense UAV platforms. Based on proven designs that have been deployed around the world under a variety of demanding operating conditions, these motors feature robust bearing designs and highly efficient cooling.

The compact motors have been engineered with Allient’s unique lightweighting technology, ensuring excellent weight-to-strength ratios with no weld joints or seams utilized in construction. Winding options are available from 3 to 12 strands, and the motors can be EMI shielded and ruggedized against a range of other environmental stressors.

Allient has also developed state-of-the-art electronic drive and control capabilities using both sensored and sensorless FOC (field-oriented control). These systems can provide intelligent diagnostics, including data on voltage, current, temperature, vibration, throttle-loss, and battery current. They can also be seamlessly connected to drone autopilots via a range of industry-standard interfaces and protocols including DroneCAN, Ardupilot, and Single Pair Ethernet (SPE).

Rugged Enclosure For Defense and Security UAS

Rugged UAS EnclosureIn partnership with Planck Aerosystems, Allient has developed a ruggedized UAS enclosure and deployment system that meets the needs of mission-critical defense and security missions in harsh environments. Constructed from lightweight and highly durable FPH-T composite, it can be deployed on moving vehicles and vessels, and offers robust protection against weather and impact damage.

The system’s advanced software allows the drone to take off, provide surveillance, identify potential threats and targets, and autonomously return to the landing pad for secure storage until the next deployment.

Lightweighting Technology

Allient’s advanced lightweighting technology takes advantage of cutting-edge materials and manufacturing to significantly reduce the weight of motors and other military vehicle components. This unique capability enables UAVs, UGVs and other platforms to achieve longer mission endurances and improved fuel efficiency.
