At SPIE Photonics West 2026, Allient will showcase the following precision motion systems:
ThruSight-Theta
ThruSight-Theta, new and available from April 2026, is a rotary stage featuring a unique motor architecture that enables a large through-hole, best-in-class axial height, and zero cogging torque.
Open Monolithic XY
The Open Monolithic XY platform is available in a standard LM size of 160 × 160, along with compact CM options of 60 × 60, 100 × 100, and 200 × 200.
Closed Center Monolithic XY
The Closed Center Monolithic XY standard LM measures 150 × 150 and delivers high performance with <0.5 µm linear accuracy and ±30 nm bi-directional repeatability.
Its three-plate architecture improves orthogonality, stiffness, and vertical stability, while the open-center design enables greater flexibility in processing or illumination.
A low-profile design reduces overall machine height and system mass, while also minimising static and dynamic tip and tilt Abbe error.
Precision Granite-Based Motion
The new Precision Granite-Based Motion platform is offered in a standard LM size of 160 × 160 and includes a Z lift stage with 50 mm travel, supported by an air counterbalance with the same travel.
The system allows users to mix and match open or enclosed XY stages with standard Z lift products, delivering high performance with XY stage accuracy of 0.4 µm (Nano) and ±30 nm bi-directional repeatability, alongside Z stage accuracy of 0.2 µm (Nano) and ±45 nm bi-directional repeatability.
Granite base options provide an ultra-stable platform for imaging and processing, while the integrated architecture simplifies supply chains and enables faster time to market.
John Baumann, Group President, commented, “SPIE Photonics West offers the opportunity to showcase the precision, flexibility, and innovation of our motion systems. We’re excited to present solutions that set the standard for high-performance photonics and advanced imaging applications.”
