Allient Inc. has appointed Ben Vespone as the Director of Engineering at Allient Rochester, where he will oversee all new product development and value-add design projects.
In this leadership role, Vespone will manage the engineering team at the Rochester facility, formerly known as ORMEC Systems. The site specializes in the design and manufacture of servo drives, motion controllers, and integrated assemblies tailored for mission-critical motion control applications.
Vespone joins the company with a background in launching complex electronic and electromechanical solutions into highly regulated markets. His experience includes hands-on design and leadership across embedded systems, requirements management, risk analysis, and standards compliance. He holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in engineering from the University of Rochester.
Beyond technical execution, Vespone’s expertise includes aligning engineering investments with broader business strategies and coaching engineering talent. His role involves collaborating with Allient’s global solutions team to address technical challenges for customers and deliver enhanced value to end users.
“Ben brings deep technical expertise and a proven ability to lead engineering teams and translate complex requirements into differentiated customer solutions,” said Jesse Dowd, General Manager of Allient Rochester. “His leadership will help us accelerate new product development, deliver greater value to our customers, and we look forward to the value he will bring to our organization.”
