Silicon Sensing Systems Ltd has launched the CRG21, a compact Micro Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) gyroscope designed for operation in harsh environments.
The closed-loop, single-axis rate sensor is a direct replacement for the company’s established CRG20 gyro, which is already proven in several key inertial systems. With an identical footprint to CRG20, the new device provides a straightforward plug-and-play retrofit.
CRG21 is a fully integrated, single-chip digital solution measuring 9.5 x 9 x 3.4mm. Its compact design helps minimise space and weight requirements while lowering overall inertial system costs.
Available in multiple rate ranges and bandwidths to meet a wide range of requirements, CRG21 can operate at temperatures from -40°C to +105°C. The sensor also provides outstanding shock resistance, exceptional angular random walk and bias over temperature, and sustained low-noise performance.
