The Tyton VS2X is a compact stand-alone 3U VPX H.265 (HEVC) / H.264 video and audio encoding and streaming solution designed to meet the needs of mission-critical military and aerospace video transmission in challenging field environments. It can encode and stream four 3G/HD/SD-SDI or CVBS (NTSC/PAL) video inputs simultaneously, and can also merge CoT/KLV or SDI VANC KLV metadata as well as up to two stereo in-line audio inputs. Encoded video streams can be output simultaneously over 1 Gbps Ethernet and an optional USB 3.0 interface.
The rugged unit is housed in an IP67 and MIL-STD-810-rated enclosure, and features MIL-spec connectors and power interfaces. It can be controlled and monitored remotely over Ethernet as well as via a well-defined API or web-based configuration GUI.
