EIZO Rugged Solutions Inc., a leading provider of ruggedized, high-performance embedded computing solutions, announced the Condor T5-IOX, a next-generation SOSA® aligned 3U VPX Single Board Computer (SBC) powered by the NVIDIA IGX T5000 system-on-module.
Engineered for mission-critical applications, the Condor T5-IOX enables rapid deployment of AI-driven capabilities at the tactical edge, supporting real-time inferencing, multi-sensor fusion, and high-bandwidth data processing.
Built on the NVIDIA IGX Thor platform and leveraging the NVIDIA IGX T5000 module, the Condor T5-IOX delivers a significant leap in AI performance for embedded systems. The Condor T5-IOX 3U VPX SBC is built for demanding tactical-edge and autonomous system applications, offering robust multi-sensor ingest and processing capabilities. The 3U VPX module supports high-throughput video and data interfaces, including four 12G-SDI inputs, USB 3.2, RS-232, and DisplayPortTM, enabling simultaneous ingestion and processing of multiple ultra-high-definition video streams. This capability supports real-time sensor fusion across electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR), radar, and communications systems, allowing critical data to be processed closer to the source while reducing latency and bandwidth demands.
Built on the NVIDIA Blackwell architecture, the industrial-grade NVIDIA IGX Thor platform delivers breakthrough performance for generative AI, autonomy, and advanced sensor processing applications with functional safety. The architecture combines a Blackwell GPU featuring NVIDIA CUDA Cores and transformer engine technology with an Arm® Neoverse®-V3AE CPU to support low-latency decision-making at the tactical edge. Supporting up to 128 GB of LPDDR5X ECC memory, 2,560 CUDA® cores, and up to 2,070 FP4 TFLOPS of AI performance, the platform enables deployment of sophisticated AI models including large language models (LLMs), text-to-speech (TTS), and vision-language-action (VLA) applications.
Chris Fadeley, Chief Technology Officer at EIZO Rugged Solutions, said, “The Condor T5-IOX represents a significant advancement in enabling AI at the tactical edge in small form factor devices. By combining the performance of NVIDIA Jetson IGX Thor with robust video ingest and high-speed connectivity, system integrators can rapidly deploy AI-enabled capabilities within open architecture 3U VPX systems while reducing integration complexity and overall system SWaP.”
The Condor T5-IOX features high-speed networking with 4x 25GbE and support for GPUDirect RDMA over Converged Ethernet (RoCE), enabling low-latency data movement between sensors, processing elements, and storage. These capabilities simplify system integration while accelerating data pipelines for time-sensitive mission applications. In addition, the NVIDIA IGX Thor module integrates dedicated GPU hardware accelerators for multi-stream video decoding (NVDEC) and encoding (NVENC), ensuring efficient handling of multiple ultra-high-resolution video feeds.
The Condor T5-IOX is aligned with the SOSA Technical Standard and conforms to VITA 46 and VITA 65 specifications. Designed for deployment in harsh environments, it meets MIL-STD-810 requirements for shock, vibration, temperature, and humidity.
