Rugged Image Processing & Mission-Critical Electronics for Defense Systems
Futuris Electronic is a specialist developer and manufacturer of rugged image processing, display and mission-critical electronics solutions for military and defense applications. Combining deep industry experience with continuous R&D, the company creates ultra-reliable solutions that have been engineered to withstand demanding operational and environmental conditions.
Ruggedized Electronics & Embedded Systems
Rugged Image Processing Unit
MIL-spec multi-source video processing based on NVIDIA GPU
The Rugged Image Processing Unit is a high-performance video system that receives and processes SDI, Ethernet and analog feeds from multiple camera sources. Built around a flexible NVIDIA GPU architecture, it can simultaneously merge, rotate and crop imagery before distributing the processed output to other equipment, also via SDI, Ethernet or analog video.
The MIL-STD-810G and 461F-rated unit is also capable of receiving and forwarding commands over RS422, CANBus or Ethernet.
GPU & FPGA Image Processing Board
Hybrid edge processing solution for AI, video and sensor data
The GPU & FPGA Image Processing Board combines an NVIDIA Jetson GPU and AMD UltraScale FPGA on a single embedded platform enabling video, image, data and signal-processing workloads to be divided between the two devices.
Four SFP+ connections, Gigabit Ethernet, DisplayPort, USB 2.0 and 3.0, MIPI and GPIO interfaces provide flexible integration with cameras, sensors, storage and external equipment. The board is ideal for a range of embedded defense and ISR applications including sensor fusion, AI-assisted image processing, object detection, autonomous navigation and real-time encoding or streaming.
Ethernet Stream Multiplexer
High-bandwidth onboard networking for defense platforms
The Ethernet Stream Multiplexer combines six independent Layer 3 Ethernet switches with real-time and graphics processing, providing a robust solution for high-volume data management between sensors, processors and communications equipment on air, land and maritime platforms.
The unit offers 15 1000Base-T and one 10GBase-T ports, as well as serial, MIL-STD-1553B, ARINC 429 and debug interfaces.
Data/Video Recorder Unit
Multi-channel recording of infrared video and target data
The Data/Video Recorder Unit captures infrared video and target information from three sensor units operating across MWIR and LWIR bands. It can simultaneously record six panoramic and five magnified video sources together with track data, or two RAW video feeds at 60 fps alongside detection and tracking data at 5 fps.
Recorded video can be played back by the unit or transferred from the 4 TB removable memory module to a computer over Ethernet or USB 3.0. The MIL-STD-810G and 461F-rated system can also output video via SDI, HDMI, or analog video.
Avionics-Grade Data Recorder Unit
High-throughput onboard recording for mission-critical avionics
The Avionics Grade Data Recorder Unit provides high-throughput capture and onboard storage for mission-critical defense and avionics platforms. Four 10 Gb Ethernet interfaces enable the unit to receive large volumes of sensor data, including infrared video and associated targeting information.
Recorded data can be retained on a cold-pluggable memory module, allowing the storage device to be exchanged in the field without removing the recorder. Interface configurations can be tailored to the application, and a custom GUI package provides Ethernet access to recorded SSD data for retrieval and analysis.
XD104-ETH Multi Input Monitor
Multi-camera situational awareness for armored vehicles
The rugged XD104-ETH monitor displays three Ethernet video feeds from thermal or day cameras simultaneously, allowing operators to maintain awareness of multiple viewing directions through selectable screen layouts. Its 10.4-inch LCD screen offers 1024 x 768 resolution and 24-bit color depth, as well as wide viewing angles for clear presentation of real-time imagery.
Designed for armored-vehicle situational awareness, the monitor is mechanically mount-compatible with legacy DVE displays and can accept an optional analog video input. The IP67-rated unit is also designed to MIL-STD-1275D, MIL-STD-461 and MIL-STD-810 standards, enabling it to withstand the most demanding of field conditions.
Next-Gen Laser Spot Tracker Module
Precision laser tracking for missiles and defense platforms
The Next-Gen Laser Spot Tracker Module is a compact tracking solution for missile and defense platform applications requiring extended acquisition range and robust anti-sunlight performance. Its five-channel architecture uses adaptive noise thresholding to maintain optimal sensitivity across different ambient light levels, with integrated anti-blinding and overcurrent protection.
The system offers first, last and peak pulse-detection logic as well as full-duplex RS422 or RS485 communications and automatic or manual multi-stage gain control. It can be provided as a board-level module or as a ready-to-use optical assembly that can be easily integrated into a variety of target platforms.
