Elistair Khronos Tethered Drone Mission

Khronos is a automated tethered UAS that includes an advanced quadcopter, a rugged IP54-rated landing station providing power and storage, and ground control software. The system can be deployed at fixed sites, or on a range of vehicles for on-the-move ISR (intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance). Launched in less than two minutes, the drone can hover at heights of up to 60 meters and offers up to 24 hours of persistent operation.

Khronos Tethered-drone for ISR The tethered drone features an RF-silent “dark mode”, and can operate effectively even under GNSS-denied conditions, making it impervious to jamming and spoofing attacks. It can be equipped with a choice of two stabilized EO/IR gimbals, the NDAA-compliant NextVision Raptor or the DragonEye.

With a Dual Payload capability, Khronos combines ISR and Variable Height Antenna (VHA) functions, and can rapidly extend a tactical network or be mounted on vehicles to support enhanced mobility.

Safe-T 2Safe-T 2 drone tethering station is an advanced tethering station that offers compatibility with a variety of commercial off-the-shelf 6S or 12S drone models from leading manufacturers including DJI, FLIR, Hexadrone and Acecore. Offering real-time persistent ISR capabilities at altitudes of up to 100 meters above ground, the NDAA-compliant system is the most deployed tether station in the world with over 500 users globally including the UN and the U.S. Army.

The IP54-rated unit’s ultra-light micro tether features patented braking technology and provides high-speed data transfer and continuous power of up to 2200W. An optional fiber optic capability is available, enabling secure telecommunication applications.
