Elistair, a leader in tethered drone systems, has introduced a “Dual Payload” configuration for its Khronos dronebox.
This new setup on the tethered drone system combines a Silvus StreamCaster 4200P tactical radio with a Nextvision DragonEye2 EO camera. The system is designed to transform the Khronos into a multi-mission aerial mast capable of providing both secure communication relay and persistent Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR).
Acting as a Variable Height Antenna (VHA), the dual payload extends and stabilizes tactical mesh networks. This allows it to maintain continuous, resilient radio links, even when operating in GNSS-denied or complex environments.
The Khronos retains its established operational performance, which includes 24 hours of continuous operation and a 60-meter operational altitude. The “Dual Payload” configuration offers an instantly deployable and reliable solution for tactical units and special forces requiring communication and observation capabilities from a single system.
This new configuration is designed specifically for special forces and deployed military units, aligning with Elistair’s commitment to continuously adapting its technology to meet the evolving needs of its customers and modern battlefields. The Khronos “Dual Payload” has been publicly unveiled for the first time at Milipol 2025.
