Trillium Engineering has officially released two mission-focused artificial intelligence modules, NyxCore-C and NyxCore-D, designed to process live sensor imagery into actionable intelligence at the edge.
Building on the NyxCore AI engine introduced earlier this year, the new releases target specific operational challenges across overland and maritime environments without requiring additional hardware.
NyxCore-C is optimized for overland classification and persistent tracking across electro-optical (EO) and infrared (IR) imagery. Developed for law enforcement, urban operations, security, and search and rescue missions, the software relies on Sightline AiTR to transform raw detections into a persistent geospatial world model. This approach provides operators with real-time situational context, historical tracking data, and support for chain-of-custody workflows where observing activity over time is critical.
For wide-area maritime surveillance, NyxCore-D provides autonomous scanning to detect and follow low-visual-signature objects at extended ranges. Operating across both EO and IR environments, the maritime module reduces cognitive workload for operators by automatically directing focus toward activity across vast search areas. Key applications include maritime search and rescue, anti-poaching operations, and shipping monitoring.
By processing detection, tracking, classification, and decision-support algorithms directly at the point of capture, the NyxCore engine allows platform developers and operators to deploy targeted AI capabilities tailored to their specific mission profiles. Both NyxCore-C and NyxCore-D are available immediately on Trillium’s HD59 series and HD40-LVV systems, as well as across all gimbals via the Clarity-HD platform.
