Micropol Fiberoptic is moving forward with an expansion plan that includes investing in a new production facility located along highway E6 in Halmstad.
The new premises are designed to significantly increase the company’s production capacity by introducing more workstations and an increased number of staff. This growth is intended to allow Micropol to take on larger and more complex projects than its current facility allows.
The new building will encompass roughly 4,600 m2 and will house various facilities, including production areas, a cleanroom, a warehouse, a customer showroom, offices, and joint staff areas. The strategic location along E6 is expected to offer better logistics opportunities and improved accessibility for staff, customers, and partners.
Peter Ljungkvist, CEO of Micropol Fiberoptic, stated, “The new facility will allow us to expand and diversify our business, enabling us to broaden our current offer of tactical communication. Our current facility in Åled does not allow for further growth. The new facility will allow us to expand and diversify our business, enabling us to broaden our current offer of tactical communication. For example, the ability to install, repair and refurbish customers’ platforms will be increased.”
The construction of the new facility marks a major milestone for the company’s development and is intended to strengthen its position in the industry. Construction is scheduled to begin in May 2025, with completion expected by the end of 2026. HF 2 AB is serving as the landlord for the project, and MTA Bygg och Anläggning Halland AB is the contractor.
