Micropol Fiberoptic has entered into a strategic collaboration with Bertin Exensor to integrate advanced tactical fiber optic infrastructure into next-generation sensing platforms.
Under the terms of the agreement, Micropol Fiberoptic will deliver ruggedized tactical cabling and Falcon Expanded Beam connectors for integration into Bertin Exensor’s advanced sensor platform. This fiber optic solution allows the system’s sensors to remain fully passive and highly difficult to detect, significantly enhancing operational stealth and survivability. Additionally, the infrastructure ensures reliable operation in demanding environments where traditional radio communication is limited, denied, or otherwise unsuitable.
Mikael Andersson, Chief Technology Officer at Micropol Fiberoptic, commented, “We are proud to support Bertin Exensor with advanced fiber optic technology for next-generation tactical sensing applications. Our solution provides secure and robust communication capabilities designed for demanding operational environments.”
Erik Hedén, Technical Director at Bertin Exensor AB, added, “The collaboration with Micropol Fiberoptic strengthens the stealth of our Flexnet T-UGS (Tactical Unattended Ground Sensor system). By integrating a robust fiber optic infrastructure as an optional means of communication, we enhance and extend the usability of our platform. Together, we deliver technology that meets the fast evolving electronic warfare demands in the defence and security sector worldwide.”
The initiative further strengthens Micropol Fiberoptic’s position as a supplier of advanced tactical fiber optic solutions for defense and security applications globally.
