Honeywell Aerospace has reaffirmed its support for the British military community by signing the UK Armed Forces Covenant as an independent aerospace and defense business following its spin-off from Honeywell Technologies earlier this year.
The Armed Forces Covenant is a public commitment designed to ensure members of the Armed Forces community are treated fairly and face no disadvantages resulting from their military service. By signing the agreement, participating organizations establish formal mechanisms to assist service members through targeted employment opportunities, career development pathways, reservist provisions, and broader community engagement.
The signing was finalized during a ceremony held at the Army Aviation Centre in Middle Wallop, Hampshire. Edward Gay, Senior Director, Program Management – Federal Solutions at Honeywell Aerospace, signed the document on behalf of the company alongside Lieutenant Colonel Katie McLeman, Commanding Officer of 6 Regiment Army Air Corps.
Kye Williams, EMEA Senior Engineering Manager and Honeywell Aerospace’s UK Veterans Employee Resource Group Founder & Chair, stated, “People who serve in the Armed Forces develop skills and experience that can bring real value to businesses like ours. By signing the Armed Forces Covenant, we are making a clear commitment to supporting this community and creating opportunities for veterans, reservists and military families to build rewarding careers with Honeywell Aerospace.”
The recommitment builds upon the company’s existing ties with military and defense customers throughout the United Kingdom. Now operating as an independent entity, Honeywell Aerospace is targeting personnel with a diverse array of technical and operational capabilities, specifically seeking to recruit, retain, and assist personnel making the transition from active military duty to civilian industry careers.
