Accelerate Defense Modernization through Strategic Sourcing
Discover cutting-edge solutions from leading global suppliers
ASELSAN has introduced a suite of new electronic warfare and counter-Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) technologies at the SAHA 2026 exhibition in Istanbul, aimed at addressing increasingly complex operational environments.
The launch showcased the expanded capabilities of the Steel Dome layered air defense architecture, featuring the newly introduced KORAL AD Air Defense Electronic Warfare System. This land-based mobile platform integrates Electronic Support (ES) and Electronic Attack (EA) capabilities to detect, identify, and classify hostile radars at long ranges. By utilizing Anti-Access/Area Denial (A2/AD) capabilities, KORAL AD is designed to deceive and jam enemy aircraft radars, providing a critical layer of protection for high-value assets.

To address communication threats, the company debuted a new version of ILGAR, a mobile electronic attack system targeting V/UHF and portions of the SHF spectrum. The system is engineered to disrupt or deceive sophisticated frequency-hopping communication systems used by enemy aircraft. With its high RF output power and reactive jamming capability, ILGAR ensures tactical superiority by targeting strategic communication systems while operating on the move.
The counter-UAV portfolio saw significant expansion with the introduction of the updated version of the EJDERHA high-power microwave weapon system. EJDERHA is specifically designed to neutralize mini and micro UAVs, including swarm formations, using high-power electromagnetic waves. The system has evolved into a fully autonomous unit with the integration of its own radar and enhanced electro-optical sensors.
For physical interception, the new GÖKALP system was presented as an AI-powered drone-against-drone solution. It uses smart tracking to hunt and destroy FPVs and kamikaze UAVs through high-precision kinetic impact. Alongside this, the MİĞFER Self-Protection FPV Interception System was introduced as a hard-kill solution for armored vehicles. Mounted on a 4×4 platform, MİĞFER uses dual shotguns and specialized ammunition to autonomously neutralize microdrone threats within a 150-meter radius.
The exhibition also marked the unveiling of the GÖKBERK 10kW Laser Weapon System. This directed energy solution is intended for the protection of critical facilities, such as energy plants and headquarters, using an indigenous laser source to physically neutralize close-range aerial targets with high efficiency.
Ahmet Akyol, ASELSAN President & CEO, commented, “Modern battlefields require integrated solutions across both the electromagnetic spectrum and physical domains. At SAHA 2026, we are proud to launch new systems and products which will strengthen the capabilities of Steel Dome. KORAL jams enemy aircraft radars, ILGAR disrupts enemy communications, GÖKALP brings a unique capability by enabling automatic drone-against-drone interception with smart tracking and EJDERHA neutralizes mini and micro unmanned aerial vehicles effectively. Together with our MİĞFER and GÖKBERK 10kW antidrone systems, these solutions will make Steel Dome stronger against evolving air and electronic threats.”
