ASELSAN is showcasing deployable naval air defense systems, autonomous maritime platforms and advanced surveillance technologies at EURONAVAL 2026, taking place November 3–6.
The company’s naval defense portfolio includes a newly introduced deployable configuration of the GÖKDENİZ close-in weapon system, a naval version of the field-proven KORKUT air defense system, alongside a containerized configuration of the GÖKSUR VLS point defense missile system.
The deployable GÖKDENİZ provides close-in defense capabilities through a self-contained, container-based configuration. Equipped with its own power supply and operator environment, the system is designed to operate independently of the host platform, enabling rapid installation, removal and redeployment. Potential applications include protecting commercial ships and oil tankers operating in strategically important and challenging waterways, as well as other critical assets.
The containerized GÖKSUR VLS provides a modular Point Defense Missile System (PDMS) for both land and naval platforms. Its standalone configuration comprises a Fire Control Center (FCC) Container and a Launcher Container, incorporating sensors, launchers and built-in generators for independent power supply. This arrangement supports rapid deployment without requiring permanent installation on the host platform.
ASELSAN is also presenting its autonomous naval capabilities, including the TUFAN One-Way Attack Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV) and the KILIÇ family of One-Way Attack Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs), extending its portfolio across surface and subsurface operations.
The newly developed SMASH 30 Remotely Controlled Stabilized Naval Gun System combines AI-assisted target detection, classification and tracking with advanced electro-optical capabilities and ATOM 30 programmable smart ammunition. The system is designed to address asymmetric surface threats and emerging aerial threats.
Additional technologies on display include MERCAN 100, a submarine optronic mast system developed for electro-optical reconnaissance and surveillance, and AINEO BOX, an AI-powered solution providing real-time image processing and automated target detection, classification and tracking for electro-optical systems.
Ahmet Akyol, President & CEO of ASELSAN, commented, “Today’s maritime security environment calls for solutions that can respond to urgent operational needs and evolving threats. With the deployable GÖKDENİZ and GÖKSUR configurations, we are extending an established air defense capability to platforms and environments where flexible, rapidly deployable protection is needed. Our autonomous systems, including TUFAN and KILIÇ, address the growing role of unmanned capabilities in maritime operations, while our naval weapon and optronic technologies continue to benefit from advances in artificial intelligence and electro-optical systems. Building on our experience in rapidly adapting UAV payload technologies to operational requirements, we aim to bring the same agility to the naval domain and deliver mission-ready solutions to naval customers worldwide.”
