ARK Electronics has launched its ARK G5 RTK GPS and ARK G5 RTK Heading GPS modules, providing high-precision, NDAA-compliant navigation solutions designed for defense and mission-critical unmanned platforms.
The ARK G5 RTK Heading GPS is the first Made in the USA, dual-antenna GPS to offer true heading capability while fully complying with NDAA regulations, addressing a growing need for secure and reliable navigation in military UAS operations. Built on the Septentrio mosaic-G5 P3H receiver, the module delivers multi-constellation, quad-band GNSS tracking with centimeter-level RTK accuracy at a 20 Hz update rate. Dual-antenna heading functionality supports single- or dual-antenna configurations for tactical flexibility.
Both ARK G5 RTK variants integrate a ST IIS2MDC magnetometer, Bosch BMP390 barometer, Invensense ICM-42688-P 6-axis IMU, onboard buzzer, and STM32F412 MCU. DroneCAN support ensures seamless integration with Pixhawk-based control systems, including firmware updates over CAN for field-ready deployment.
The standard ARK G5 RTK GPS shares the same compact form factor and advanced sensor suite, delivering high-precision RTK positioning without heading capability. Both modules are ultra-lightweight, low-power, and designed for rugged operational environments.
Manufactured entirely in the United States, the ARK G5 RTK series ensures secure supply chains and regulatory compliance, meeting the stringent requirements of defense agencies and contractors that demand reliable, high-accuracy navigation in contested or GPS-denied environments.
