ARK Electronics has launched its new ARKV6S Flight Controller, a USA-built, NDAA-compliant flight control solution designed for professional Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) applications.
Leveraging open-source Pixhawk Autopilot Bus (PAB) standards, the ARKV6S provides seamless integration, reliability, and performance for a wide range of autonomous systems.
The ARKV6S flight controller is based on the FMUV6X and Pixhawk Autopilot Bus open-source specifications, ensuring broad compatibility with any PAB carrier board. Its robust design incorporates a single industrial-grade IMU, enabling precise navigation and control in demanding operational environments.
The controller ships by default with PX4 Autopilot, with support for Ardupilot as well providing flexibility for diverse UAV missions and development requirements.
The ARKV6S is equipped with the following high-performance components:
- Invensense IIM-42653 Industrial IMU
- Bosch BMP390 Barometer
- ST IIS2MDC Magnetometer
- STM32H743IIK6 MCU running at 480 MHz with 2 MB flash and 1 MB RAM, supported by FRAM for reliable data retention
The flight controller also includes a heater delivering 1 W of power to maintain sensor performance in extreme cold conditions, LED indicators for operational status, and a microSD slot for data logging.
Designed and built in the USA, the ARKV6S is NDAA and FCC compliant, weighing just 5 grams with dimensions of 3.6 × 2.9 × 0.5 cm. The flight controller includes a MicroSD card for immediate use.
The ARKV6S Flight Controller is now available for order directly through ARK Electronics’ website and authorized distributors.
