ARK Electronics has released ARK Just A Pi, a compact carrier board for the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5 designed to support plug-and-play integration with an autopilot.
Built around the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5 form factor, the board incorporates a built-in Ethernet switch, two 100 Mbps Ethernet connectors and multiple JST-GH interfaces.
The carrier board provides I2C, PCIe x2, Micro HDMI, USB-C, USB 3.0, USB 2.0, UART, SPI, PWM and GPIO connectivity. It also features two MIPI CSI connectors and a fan connector matching Raspberry Pi 5 pinouts.
A six-pin Molex Clik-Mate power connector matches ARK PAB power modules. Just A Pi requires a 5 V power supply rated for at least 2 A, with overall power requirements depending on usage and connected peripherals.
Its MicroSD card slot is functional only with Lite versions of the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4 or Compute Module 5 without eMMC storage.
The board is built in the United States and is NDAA compliant. It weighs 19.5 g and measures 4.0 × 5.5 × 1.31 cm.
An available bundle includes a Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5 Lite with Wi-Fi and 2 GB of RAM, together with an NDAA-compliant 64 GB MicroSDXC card with ARK UI pre-installed.
A Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5 is required, while the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4 is partially compatible.
