uAvionix has integrated its FlightLine ADS-B data service into the VOTIX’s drone operating system, delivering real-time, aviation-grade Detect and Avoid (DAA) data to VOTIX users in mission-critical Drone as First Responder (DFR) and Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) applications.
The FlightLine service provides validated ADS-B track data from a high-integrity network of dual-band receivers. This detects low-altitude traffic from crewed aircraft transmitting on 978 MHz or 1090 MHz.
The inclusion of the low-latency feed means VOTIX’s hardware-agnostic platform provides enhanced situational awareness, early conflict detection, and real-time alerts. This is crucial for rapid emergency response and deconfliction where every second counts.
This collaboration between uAvionix and VOTIX advances UAS integration, and improves safety, operational efficiency, and decision-making in low-altitude airspaces.
It also strengthens the foundational software stack solution, vital to the newly published FAA’s BVLOS NPRM. This will enable operations to be conducted in the U.S. in the near future.
Thomas Jimenez, Director of UAS Enterprise Sales, uAvionix, stated, “We are proud to partner with VOTIX to deliver aviation-grade DAA data directly into their platform. As the UAS industry moves toward expanded BVLOS operations at scale, reliable traffic surveillance data is vital. FlightLine – the same feed deployed at FAA facilities – provides a safety-case backbone for mission-critical DFR operations.”
Edwin Sanchez, Votix’s Founder and CEO, added, “This integration represents a significant leap forward in supporting public safety and emergency services, and other mission-critical operations, through our advanced enterprise drone operations platform.”
