ZPX-1 Combat ID Mode 5 transponder with ADS-B for tactical UAS
ZPX-1

The RT-2087/ZPX‑1 is a compact, low-SWaP IFF and ADS-B solution purpose-built for tactical unmanned aircraft systems. Fully certified to AIMS Mk XIIB and DoD AIMS 17-1000B standards, it provides Mode 5 Level 1/2 and Level 2 Broadcast capability when paired with a KIV-79 micro-crypto module. Its combined transponder-receiver design supports interoperability in both military and civilian airspace, delivering critical identification functionality for Group 2 and larger UAS.

The ZPX‑1 supports Mode S Enhanced Surveillance, ADS-B IN, and Mode 5 Level 2-B receive capability to aid Detect and Avoid operations, while maintaining minimal size, weight, and power requirements. Compatible with crypto-appliqué systems and compliant as a Mode S/1090ES ADS-B transponder, it simplifies aircraft configurations. Designed to operate in extreme environments from –45° to +71° C, it includes multiple power modes, broad protocol compatibility, and a high-sensitivity receiver to support mission requirements across diverse airspace conditions.
