Impact Subsea has appointed Rio de Janeiro-based HD Survey as its official distributor in Brazil to expand local technical support and sensor availability across the country’s offshore sector.
The distribution agreement provides Brazilian marine and subsea operators with streamlined access to Impact Subsea’s underwater sensors and associated systems. This includes imaging and profiling sonars, altimeters, depth sensors, Attitude and Heading Reference Systems (AHRS), and flooded member detection systems. The agreement also covers the seaMux subsea multiplexer and Unity topside control system, alongside local sales, technical support and product demonstrations conducted in Portuguese.
Established in 2021, HD Survey specialises in hydrographic and geodetic survey and offshore positioning for complex marine and subsea operations. Backed by a team with more than two decades of industry experience, the Brazilian company provides qualified offshore survey personnel, specialist maintenance of survey and Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) equipment, and a rental fleet of ROV and subsea equipment for leading offshore and renewable energy operators in Brazil.
Ben Grant, Managing Director at Impact Subsea, commented, “We’re delighted to welcome HD Survey as our official distributor in Brazil. Their survey and ROV background, combined with an established presence in Rio de Janeiro, means our users across the region will benefit from knowledgeable, responsive local support.”
HD Survey’s practical experience with offshore survey and ROV equipment positions the company to support demand for Impact Subsea sensors across Brazil’s marine and subsea industries.
Diogo Fernandes, General Manager of HD Survey, explained, “Our team works with survey and ROV equipment offshore every day, so we know how much operators value sensors that are compact, reliable and easy to integrate.”
Fernandes added, “Partnering with Impact Subsea allows us to bring their proven technology to the Brazilian market, backed by local stock, technical expertise and support from a team that understands the demands of our clients’ operations.”
The appointment forms part of Impact Subsea’s continued efforts to expand its international presence and provide sensor users with access to local technical expertise and support.
