The ISS360 range boasts the world’s most compact imaging sonar, and provides ROVs, AUVs and other subsea naval vehicles of all sizes with real-time 360° high-resolution acoustic imaging capabilities. Utilizing a mechanically-scanned broadband composite transducer and advanced CHIRP acoustics (Compressed High Intensity Radar Pulse), the sonars are ideal for precision navigation, obstacle avoidance, and target identification for applications such as ISR (intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance) or MCM (mine countermeasures).
The sonars utilize mechanically scanned transducers with inductive coupling to the sonar electronics, doing away with the need for slip rings and enhancing longevity while reducing maintenance requirements.
The sonars are rated to 6000 meters, while the ISS360HD also provides enhanced angular resolution and range. Both variants feature a rugged titanium housing and can be equipped with an optional pitch and roll measurement capability based on MEMS inertial sensors.
