ASELSAN has successfully demonstrated the operational capabilities of its KORKUT 35 Air Defense System during a live-fire event attended by international defense delegations from 12 countries.
The live demonstration showcased the system’s ability to detect, track, engage, and neutralize moving targets while delivering accurate fire on the move under representative operational conditions. Designed to defend against fighter aircraft, cruise missiles, air-to-ground missiles, helicopters, and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), the KORKUT 35 focused heavily on countering modern asymmetric threats, including kamikaze drones and mini/micro UAVs. During testing in a dynamic operational environment, the system successfully engaged various dynamic aerial threats, including fixed-wing, delta-wing, and mini/micro UAVs.
In addition to its anti-air performance, the KORKUT 35 highlighted its multi-role capability by engaging a moving ground target while the host vehicle was also in motion. Integrated onto an 8×8 tactical wheeled vehicle, the system demonstrated precise firing accuracy and controlled shot dispersion during on-the-move operations.
The trial results underscore the system’s ability to act as a mobile, cost-effective air defense solution for low-cost targets, offering critical defense coverage for maneuvering forces and key military infrastructure.
