ASELSAN has successfully demonstrated the versatile precision-strike capabilities of its TOLUN munition family during live firing tests conducted from a BAYRAKTAR AKINCI Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV).
The demonstration took place on 1 September 2026 at the Konya Karapınar Firing Test Range in front of military officials representing more than 15 countries. During the event, three distinct variants within the family, TOLUN I, TOLUN F, and TOLUN P, were launched against different target types to showcase their specialized warhead and fuze configurations.
TOLUN I, which features an impact fuze paired with a fragmentation warhead, achieved a direct hit on a container target. The TOLUN F variant engaged an armored personnel carrier using a proximity sensor and fragmentation warhead, highlighting its ability to maximize effects against targets near personnel. Designed for operational flexibility, TOLUN F incorporates software built to withstand GPS spoofing alongside selectable impact angles.
Demonstrating hard-target destruction, TOLUN P penetrated a two-story concrete structure before neutralizing elements at a designated interior layer. The munition utilizes a programmable time-delay fuze and a penetrating warhead, relying specifically on ASELSAN’s ASAF-Hard Target Fuze for effectiveness against reinforced concrete structures.
To enable multiple target engagements in a single sortie, the TOLUN family integrates with ASELSAN’s SADAK-4T Multiple Ejector Rack, allowing air platforms to carry several munitions simultaneously. Built for all-weather, day-and-night operations, the munition line combines precision guidance, specialized warheads, and flexible fuze technologies to deliver tailored effects across a wide spectrum of battlefield targets.
