The Ophir® SupIR 16–80mm f/1.2 from MKS Ophir is a compact continuous zoom lens developed for uncooled LWIR detectors with 10–12 µm pixels and SXGA (1280×1024) resolution.
Engineered for demanding surveillance, ISR, and defense applications, it enables high-resolution thermal imaging performance in a compact, lightweight design ideal for UAVs and other mobile platforms.
Optimized for SXGA resolution, the lens supports vehicle detection at distances up to 8 km and human identification up to 0.7 km under typical conditions. Its motorized zoom and focus operate quickly and precisely, while an athermalized optical design maintains focus stability across temperature changes. The SupIR 16–80mm f/1.2 is LOS stabilization-ready, IP67-rated for durability, and compactly built at Ø93.6 × 108.4 mm with a total weight of just 705 g.
Combining durability with optical precision, the SupIR 16–80mm f/1.2 enhances long-range situational awareness and imaging performance for modern thermal vision systems.
