The SupIR-X 15–300 mm f/4.0 from MKS-Ophir is a rugged MWIR thermal imaging lens engineered for demanding intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) applications across air, land, and sea. Designed for 10 µm SXGA MWIR detectors, the lens covers 3.6–4.2 µm and 3.6–4.9 µm spectral ranges, providing sharp thermal imagery across a continuous zoom range. Its integrated mechanical shutter supports rapid non-uniformity correction (NUC), maintaining image uniformity during long operational cycles.
Built for demanding field environments, the SupIR-X offers a 45° to 2.4° horizontal field of view within a compact, lightweight form factor measuring Ø93.4 × 132 mm and weighing approximately 1 kg. The design ensures durability with IP67 front-element sealing and a wide operating temperature range from –32°C to +80°C. Compatible with 19.4 mm and 20.5 mm cold shield heights, the SupIR-X can be configured with optional extenders—30–600 mm, 35–690 mm, 45–900 mm, and 60–1200 mm—for extended detection and identification ranges.
