This video by Ground Control introduces RockFLEET Assured, a solution designed to provide assured positioning for maritime fleets operating in environments where GNSS signals may be jammed, spoofed, or otherwise disrupted.
Presented by Evan Fenemor, Client Solutions Manager at Ground Control, the showcase explains how RockFLEET Assured uses Iridium’s Low Earth Orbit (LEO) PNT signal as an authenticated positioning source that is harder to interfere with than traditional GNSS. The system enables operators to maintain a trusted vessel position when GNSS integrity is compromised, while flagging anomalies, interference, or spoofing events.
Crews can view assured APNT positioning alongside GNSS data on an optional chart/bridge display, complete with integrity status, event logging, and alarms if GNSS behavior falls outside defined boundaries. Shore teams can also monitor vessels and integrity events through Cloudloop Tracking, Ground Control’s browser-based platform.
Designed for real-world maritime operations, RockFLEET Assured features a compact IP67-rated marine-grade unit, low-profile antenna, flexible installation options, and a backup battery that allows tracking and reporting to continue if vessel power is interrupted. The system supports NMEA 2000 compatible chart plotters and enables API-first integration with existing operational systems via Cloudloop.
RockFLEET Assured provides confidence, clarity, and accountability by maintaining a trusted position even when GNSS cannot be relied upon, supporting both commercial fleets and defense environments.
