VIAVI Solutions has partnered with Ground Control to integrate its Secure µPNT STL-1000 into the RockFLEET Assured asset tracking and navigation solution.
The collaboration addresses growing vulnerabilities in global infrastructure where reliance on GPS and GNSS systems alone leaves maritime assets susceptible to jamming, spoofing, and signal disruption. The Secure µPNT STL-1000 serves as a compact software-defined receiver that operates with VIAVI SecureTime altGNSS LEO services to provide precise timing and holdover capability. This technology is specifically designed to maintain authentication and navigation in Denied, Degraded, and Disrupted Space Operational Environments (D3SOE).
RockFLEET Assured is a marine-grade Assured Position, Navigation and Timing (A-PNT) solution. By incorporating VIAVI’s technology, the system can support vessel navigation and oversight even when traditional satellite signals are unavailable. The integration is intended to strengthen resilience for mission-critical operations across defense, maritime, and critical infrastructure sectors.

As cyber threats evolve, the move toward secondary position sources has become a priority for operators who must safeguard assets in contested waters. The hardware’s small footprint allows it to be embedded into existing tracking frameworks without significant power or space requirements.
