UAV Navigation-Grupo Oesía is set to provide Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) expertise and technology required for the coordinated operation of unmanned aerial and terrestrial swarms within the new TICHE Project.
The initiative focuses on developing sophisticated systems for detecting hidden threats, specifically targeting landmines and Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs). By integrating advanced sensors, artificial intelligence, and multi-platform collaboration, the project aims to expand detection capabilities while prioritizing human safety, power efficiency, and portability. The overarching goal of the endeavor is to protect lives through the application of technological innovation in high-risk zones.
The role of UAV Navigation-Grupo Oesía involves managing the flight of multiple Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) platforms operating in a swarm. Furthermore, the company is responsible for ensuring these aerial units achieve coordinated operation and integration with Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs).
Technical development for TICHE includes the combination of advanced physical sensors with intelligent data fusion algorithms. This integration is designed to enhance hidden threat detection in complex environments for military and humanitarian lifesaving operations.
Funded by the European Commission through the European Defence Fund, the TICHE Project is led by RINA-CSM. The consortium represents a strategic partnership between industry leaders, academic institutions, and government agencies. This collaborative framework is intended to pioneer new methods for enhancing security through synchronized technological advancements.
