Echodyne and Moog have entered into a strategic agreement to accelerate the development of integrated hardware and software solutions for global defense applications.
The collaboration combines Moog’s expertise in high-performance precision motion and control systems with Echodyne’s proprietary radar platforms. By merging these capabilities, the companies aim to expand integrated air and missile defense (IAMD), airfield safety systems, and combat vehicle platforms. This partnership is designed to deliver mission-ready, configurable systems that address the evolving demands of the defense industry and support national security priorities.
The initiative focuses on leveraging the unique data provided by Echodyne’s Metamaterial Electronically Scanned Array (MESA) technology. These radars offer the high-fidelity data necessary for effective counter-drone operations and low-altitude air defense. Both organizations intend to work closely on product development, testing, and joint demonstrations to pursue new business opportunities in the international market.
Eben Frankenberg, CEO of Echodyne, said, “Moog recognizes the value of our MESA radars’ unique high-fidelity data for effective counter-drone and low altitude air defense. We are excited by the opportunity to collaborate with an industry leader such as Moog.”
Mike Gruver, Moog Defense Senior Vice President, added, “As a worldwide designer and systems integrator, Moog views the relationship as a way to streamline the innovation process. “We see incredible opportunity combining Moog’s weapon systems expertise with Echodyne’s advanced radar systems. This relationship allows us to move faster than we could independently.”
The agreement underscores a shared commitment to fielding innovative solutions. Through combined test and experimentation efforts, the collaboration seeks to provide enhanced mission-ready capabilities across a variety of defense applications.
