SEAEXPLORER 1000-M

Underwater glider for security and defense applications

The SEAEXPLORER 1000-M glider is an autonomous unmanned underwater vehicle that has been specially designed to undertake naval and defense missions such as REA (rapid environmental assessment), acoustic intelligence and anti-submarine warfare. The underwater glider can be equipped with a variety of payloads including data securing, acoustic optimization and optimal integration into naval forces.

The advanced glider is equipped with a range of enhanced features including specific target detection and localisation algorithms, data cybersecurity, and interoperability with UAVs.

Currently under development, the SEAEXPLORER 1000-M will be available by the end of 2025.

Subsea Buoyancy Solutions

Our BMTI brand provides subsea buoyancy solutions that offer market-leading strength-to-weight ratios and low densities to ensure maximum buoyancy for underwater vehicles operating in the most challenging of conditions. Designed for extreme longevity, our foam buoyancy products are available in a range of materials, covering shallow and deepsea requirements from 0 to 12.000 msw.

We offer standard off-the-shelf foam blocks as well as tailor-made buoyancy modules, manufactured in-house using our proprietary formulations and materials technology. For custom solutions, we provide expert design and engineering advice for your unique subsea vehicle requirements, in addition to a full project management service to assist with every stage of the process. All products are precision-machined and finished with our own protective PUR coatings, paints and high-strength metal inserts.

DPV Murene

The latest generation of diver propulsion vehicle

Murene is a next-generation underwater propulsion system for combat divers and special operations frogmen, with the ability to transport two fully-equipped personnel.

Featuring an ergonomically-optimized and hydrodynamic design, it can be operated in manual or semi-autonomous piloting modes.

The system can be deployed from shore, RHIB or through a torpedo tube, and is equipped with a forward-looking multibeam sonar for seabed scanning capabilities.

Coryphene

Swimmer delivery vehicle for up to three divers

Coryphene is a proven swimmer delivery vehicle platform that can transport up to three divers with full equipment. It can be equipped with Nitrox gas and offers an operational range of up to 50 nautical miles.

The easy-to-pilot vehicle is ideal for a range of subsea defense applications including ISR, infiltration and exfiltration of special forces units, and assault of onshore or offshore targets.

Radiocommunications Solutions

Surface Ships Antennas

We are highly experienced in the design, simulation and manufacture of active and passive RF antennas for naval surface vessels, and have provided solutions for many French and allied navy programs. We offer a wide product range including VLF/LF, HF, V/UHF and UHF options, as well as high-performance multi-couplers for input/output signal routing.

These products allow designers to create complete vessel antenna subsystems with both transmission and reception capabilities. All antennas are designed according to the strictest RCS (Radar Cross Section) reduction requirements.

Submarine Antennas

Our compact multifunction submarine antennas are installed in a hoistable mast for easy deployment, and cover a wide range from VLF to hyper-frequencies.

In conjunction with our switches, filters, duplexers and other RF components, these antennas allow simultaneous transmission and reception of several frequencies.

Expendable Communication Buoys

The X-SUB range of tethered expendable communication buoys (ECBs) provides submarines with the capability to communicate with and receive information from sources above the surface while remaining submerged, ensuring maximum stealth. After use, the systems scuttle themselves and sink.

AIS and ADS-B status, GPS position, tactical datalinks and V/UHF communications can all be managed either from the submarine’s operations center or from a ground control station.

The product portfolio includes two models:

• RF WideBand X-SUB for Rx and Tx communication
• Iridium X-SUB for SATCOM voice and data

BLACK BIRD System

UAV drone ejection system from a deepwater submarine

The BLACK BIRD system equips deepwater submarines with a UAV-launching capability that allows the vessel to collect vital real-time data above the surface while remaining submerged for maximum covertness.

The system consists of four main components:

• UAV Drone – compact folding VTOL quadcopter drone with autonomous capabilities and up to 40 minutes of flight time
• Underwater Vehicle – released from the submarine via compressed air ejection, the vehicle automatically ejects the drone upon detecting the surface
• Communications Antenna Relay – the X-SUB buoy floats on the surface and delivers data from the drone to the submarine via fiber optic cable
• Ground Control System – provides remote piloting and mission planning via a laptop with 18″ touchscreen

Our skilled obsolescence mitigation capabilities include proven retrofit and reverse-engineering methodologies as well as controlled remanufacturing of complex obsolete components.
