In this video, UAV Navigation–Grupo Oesía demonstrates the successful integration of ATMOSPHERE’s Iridium® terminal with its VECTOR family of flight control computers.
The integration enables secure SATCOM-based Beyond Visual Line Of Sight (BVLOS) connectivity for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) operations.
Tested in real flight conditions, the integration delivers low-latency, stable communication links comparable to traditional radio systems. This capability enhances autonomous operations, supports real-time mission updates and dynamic re-tasking, and ensures resilient command and control in contested or remote environments.
Designed for defense and security applications, the integration enhances interoperability and allows UAV operators to maintain reliable control in remote areas or environments where traditional radio links may be compromised.
