In the demonstration, DefendAir conducts a close-range, time-critical interception using a non-explosive net capture mechanism, resulting in controlled neutralization with reduced collateral risk. The scenario highlights the system’s suitability for point defence and protection of critical infrastructure, high-value assets, and sensitive sites, as well as its role as a terminal, kinetic-effect layer within a multi-layered Counter-UAS architecture when non-kinetic measures such as electronic warfare or GNSS denial are ineffective or unavailable.
