ParaZero Technologies has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a major European defense company to develop a vehicle-integrated active protection system designed to physically defend armored platforms against incoming attack drones.
The collaboration integrates the defense manufacturer’s armored vehicles with ParaZero’s DefendAir net-based physical interception technology. This built-in, autonomous Counter-UAS capability is designed to engage and stop an approaching hostile drone before it strikes the vehicle. The cooperation has already advanced into active technical integration following an initial purchase of DefendAir Net Pods, with ParaZero’s engineering team set to travel to the partner’s European facility to provide on-site integration support.
Modern armored vehicles were primarily designed to withstand conventional battlefield threats, such as ballistic fire, mines, improvised explosive devices, rockets, and anti-tank missiles. However, the rapid proliferation of small, low-cost FPV attack drones has introduced a different threat profile. Capable of maneuvering quickly, approaching from multiple angles, and targeting less-protected areas with precision, these assets pose a continuous risk to ground forces and vehicle crews.
While electronic warfare remains an important defense layer, it is not a universal solution. Fiber-optic-controlled, autonomously navigating, and communications-resilient drones can continue toward targets even when standard radio-frequency links are disrupted. This leaves a critical requirement for a physical interception capability that extends beyond passive armor and electronic countermeasures.
The system planned under the MOU applies active protection directly to aerial threats by physically disabling target drones before impact. ParaZero’s DefendAir Net Pods serve as this final interception layer using controlled, non-explosive, net-based neutralization. The modular Net Pod architecture allows defense manufacturers and platform integrators to incorporate physical interception into broader protection systems tailored to specific vehicle types and operational environments.

The agreement supports ParaZero’s strategy to establish its DefendAir technology as a standard physical interception layer within next-generation defense platforms, advancing the transition from standalone Counter-UAS devices to fully integrated vehicle protection architectures.
