Textron Systems Corporation has secured a $163.4 million contract to provide 65 COMMANDO Select vehicles to support military operations in Ukraine.
The firm-fixed-price award, facilitated through the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative via the Foreign Military Sales mechanism, was issued by the U.S. Army Contracting Command Detroit Arsenal. Spanning a three-year period, the contract includes the production and delivery of the 65 Mobile Strike Force Vehicles along with one year of spare parts. This initiative is designed to strengthen military capabilities by improving ground mobility and defensive hardware.
The COMMANDO Select is an armored personnel carrier engineered for high performance in rigorous environments, offering operators the versatility required for diverse missions. Designed to provide crew protection while maintaining superior mobility compared to similar armored vehicles, the platform is optimized for ease of operation and maintenance. The vehicle utilizes readily available parts and established service support structures, reflecting Textron Systems’ experience in delivering over 10,000 ground vehicles to various global customers over several decades.
