MilDef has been awarded a contract to provide rugged IT equipment for BAE Systems Hägglunds’ new BvS10 tracked vehicle.
The initial value of the contract is SEK 80 million, and will see MilDef making deliveries throughout 2025-2029.
The BvS10 tracked vehicle is designed to move quickly over terrain that would stop other vehicles, and is also capable of amphibious operations. It is currently in service with Sweden, Austria, France, the Netherlands, the UK and the USA, and BAE Systems has now been tasked with delivering the vehicle to an additional European nation. MilDef will supply customized switches for the newly manufactured vehicles.
Daniel Ljunggren, President and CEO of MilDef, commented: “The orders now won are a continuation of a long-standing collaboration with BAE Systems Hägglunds and an acceleration of joint efforts for strengthened defense systems in Sweden and Europe.
“Together with BAE Systems Hägglunds, we demonstrate the technological excellence of the Nordic defense industrial system and the responsibility that the companies take to strengthen European security of supply.”
