Diamond Aircraft and FlySight have integrated FlySight’s OPENSIGHT Mission Console onboard Diamond Aircraft platforms, demonstrating the fully operational mission system on an aircraft showcased during Eurosatory 2026.
The aircraft, registered as OE-FHQ, was equipped with the OPENSIGHT turnkey Mission Console solution and operated over Paris during the Eurosatory event period. During flight operations, the integration supported real-time mission visualization, sensor integration, and advanced geospatial intelligence.
The collaboration showcased a fully operational mission system with live capabilities including video downlink with KLV metadata, sensor integration, and mission data management functionalities. For the occasion, OE-FHQ was also fitted with dedicated OPENSIGHT branding, highlighting the technical cooperation between Diamond Aircraft and FlySight.
A key aspect of the integration was OPENSIGHT’s interoperability with a wide range of airborne mission sensors already available on the Diamond Aircraft platform. According to FlySight, this compatibility demonstrates OPENSIGHT’s flexibility and readiness for multi-platform deployments.
The OPENSIGHT Mission Console provides operators with a unified operational environment combining:
- 2D and 3D interactive map visualization
- Live video integration and sensor fusion
- Augmented Reality and real-time overlay
- Geospatial mission planning and target tracking
- Mission database and post-mission analysis tools
Andrea Masini, CEO at FlySight, said, “Seeing OPENSIGHT flying onboard this aircraft on its way to Eurosatory is much more than a technical milestone for us. It represents years of vision, persistence, and hard work — a journey that started with an idea and grew into a mission system now trusted in real operational environments. For us, this is not just about technology; it is about seeing our own story, our people, and our commitment taking flight.”
The joint demonstration at Eurosatory 2026 marked a further step in the development of integrated airborne mission solutions, combining Diamond Aircraft platforms with FlySight’s mission software for defence and security operations.
Diamond Aircraft stated, “Diamond Aircraft is committed to delivering highly capable and adaptable airborne platforms that meet the evolving requirements of defence, security, and special mission operators worldwide. The successful integration of FlySight’s OPENSIGHT Mission Console demonstrates the flexibility of our aircraft and our ability to collaborate with leading technology partners to provide complete mission-ready solutions. We are pleased to showcase this integrated capability at our Demo next to the exhibition Eurosatory 2026, highlighting how advanced mission systems and reliable airborne platforms can work together to enhance situational awareness and operational effectiveness.”
