G3 Systems Limited has delivered the first flatrack for the ‘Wissellaadsystemen, Trekker-opleggercombinaties and WielBergingsvoertuigen’ (WTB) program to the Netherlands Ministry of Defence (NL MOD) for State Verification Testing (SVT).
This delivery represents a key milestone for the project ahead of the full production phase covering 418 flatracks. The WTB contract with G3 Systems, which was announced in May 2025, consists of an upcoming delivery phase followed by a 15-year support phase.
The overseas contract has adopted an EU-partnered manufacturing approach, with G3 Systems, a British company with 25 years of operationally proven expertise in the design and production of deployable infrastructure solutions, serving as the UK-based prime contractor, systems engineer, and design authority. G3’s recent delivery of the first testing-ready WTB flatrack to NL MOD demonstrates the efficiency and quality of the work completed by G3 Systems and its partners so far.
The G3 Systems flatrack solution is designed to ensure maximum flexibility of use for the NL MOD with its existing fleet. Similar to the UK MOD’s Enhanced Pallet Loading System (EPLS), this combination delivers a material-handling capability that allows a single military truck operator to load, transport, and drop off standardized 15-ton flatracks or 20ft ISO shipping containers without external support. The company’s design solution increases the flatrack’s utility by being ISO container compatible, having folding and removable side boards, flexible tie-down locations, and an optional canopy for additional weather protection.
SVT will give NL military users an opportunity to put the flatrack through rigorous testing and assess the operational performance of G3 Systems’ product. Successful completion of SVT will enable Final Design Review (FDR) sign-off and allow the program to quickly move to the full production phase.
Nick Rose, Managing Director of G3 Systems, commented, “I have been extremely pleased with how the G3 Systems team has worked tirelessly to quickly and efficiently establish the essential foundations to successfully deliver this large and complex project. State Verification Testing is a key part of the test and verification stage and is clearly not only fundamental for this project, but it also demonstrates the quality and reliability of G3 Systems engineering for other similar projects on the horizon.”
