As computing requirements increasingly extend beyond centralized infrastructure, organizations are seeking platforms capable of delivering high-performance processing in distributed and challenging environments. Antillion addresses this need with Pace FRONTIER, a ruggedized system engineered to provide data center-level compute capability at the edge.
Pace FRONTIER has been developed to operate reliably in demanding environments. The system is constructed from aircraft-grade aluminum and incorporates military-grade components within a unibody chassis, providing structural strength and durability.
The platform is rated to IP65 with standard connectors, offering protection against dust ingress and water exposure. By replacing the front panel with IP68-rated connectors, the system can be configured to achieve an IP68 rating, enabling operation in more extreme environmental conditions.
High-Performance Compute Capability
Designed to deliver substantial processing performance in a compact form factor, the system supports processors from AMD, Intel, and Ampere. It can be configured with up to 2 TB of memory and NVMe storage to support data-intensive workloads.
With support for up to 64 CPU cores, the platform is suited to applications including high-performance computing, artificial intelligence, and real-time edge analytics, where low-latency processing is required.
Compact and Portable Form Factor
The system is designed for deployment by a single operator, with a balanced structure and integrated handles to support transport in field conditions.
Based on a half 19-inch form factor, two units can be mounted side by side within a standard 19-inch rack. The compact design also allows the system to be transported in a carry-on case as hand luggage on commercial aircraft, enabling rapid deployment across locations.
Configurable Architecture and COTS Compatibility
A range of configuration options is available, including processor selection, memory capacity, storage, and networking, allowing the system to be adapted to specific operational requirements.
Built on a Commercial Off-the-Shelf hardware architecture, the platform integrates with existing IT infrastructure while maintaining familiarity for operators, supporting efficient deployment and operation.
Maintenance and Serviceability
The system incorporates design features that support maintenance in the field. Storage is removable, and components such as CMOS batteries and cooling fans are accessible and replaceable, enabling routine servicing without requiring system removal from operation.
Deployment in Defense Applications
The platform has been deployed within defense environments, where its combination of compact design and processing capability enables use in scenarios that are not suited to larger, traditional systems.
Ongoing Development and Technology Integration
Antillion continues to develop the platform through the integration of technologies from established industry providers, including Intel, AMD, NVIDIA, Micron, and Solidigm. This ensures continued alignment with developments in processing, memory, and storage technologies.
Pace FRONTIER is designed to extend high-performance computing capabilities into environments where both durability and processing performance are required. The platform supports a range of edge applications that depend on reliable, real-time data processing outside traditional data center infrastructure.
