OptoAHRS-II – Optical AHRS
The OptoAHRS-II is a low-SWaP AHRS solution that combines inertial sensing with optical image tracking, providing a robust orientation data capability with resilience against changes in magnetic interferences in the local operating environment.
The system uses reference images, such as pictures of the horizon or nearby environment, and fuses these visual features into the overall solution to create a self-checking and self-calibrating system. With just one known reference direction, the OptoAHRS-II can be operated immediately without the need for any magnetic calibration.
