Neros Technologies has established a UK subsidiary, Neros Technologies UK Ltd, with plans to invest up to £10 million over the next five years to support sovereign drone manufacturing in the UK.

The move follows the company’s establishment of Neros UA in Ukraine and its ongoing contributions to the Ministry of Defence through the International Drone Capability Coalition. By opening a new headquarters in the Swindon area, the manufacturer aims to produce autonomous First Person View (FPV) Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) on British soil for the UK Armed Forces and European allies. This initiative is designed to support sovereign manufacturing capabilities, workforce development, and national security.

Founded in 2023, the company specializes in advanced FPV systems built entirely with secure, allied components. Neros has already delivered thousands of systems to Ukraine and the U.S. Department of War.

Its flagship platform, Archer, is widely adopted across NATO forces and is described as the NATO standard for strike UAVs in its class. Archer was the first strike FPV platform included on the U.S. Department of War Blue UAS List, a designation achieved after a rigorous inspection of hardware and software for security vulnerabilities and foreign-sourced risks.

The company’s supply chain remains independent of Chinese components. By manufacturing advanced FPV drones at scale, Neros aims to help Western forces maintain an asymmetric advantage over adversaries.

Hugo Crawford, Europe Growth Lead at Neros, commented, “As a leading manufacturer driving the shift to sovereign drone capability for allied forces, the UK has always been a critical hub for Neros. The establishment of Neros UK and opening our headquarters in a key drone manufacturing hub is a milestone as we look to bring our world-leading intellectual property and operational infrastructure to UK and allied forces around the world.”

Will Stone MP, Member of Parliament for Swindon North, added, “It is outstanding to have Neros Technologies UK join the growing number of UAV manufacturing companies in Swindon. I am proud to be supporting them as they expand into the UK with their leading capabilities that I believe are crucial for supporting the next generation of warfare and supporting jobs here in Swindon. With five companies confirmed and more in the pipeline, it is undeniable that Swindon is now a major player in drone manufacturing.”
