Hexagon | NovAtel has confirmed that its GPS Anti-Jam Technology (GAJT) antennas have been selected for use on Armored Combat Support Vehicles (ACSVs) being built for the Canadian Army to protect against Cyber Electromagnetic Activities (CEMA).

The GAJT antennas will mitigate threats to Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT) from CEMA.

“This is another NovAtel milestone in protecting NATO allies from intentional jamming and unintentional interference,” said Steve Duncombe, Executive VP, Aerospace & Defense at Hexagon’s Autonomy & Positioning division. “As a market leader in assured PNT, this demonstrates NovAtel’s continuous commitment to providing interference mitigation technology to the defense sector for over 30 years.”

Intentional Radio Frequency (RF) interference, including jamming and spoofing, are growing threats to Assured PNT in contested, hostile CEMA environments.

GAJT enables users to be proactive against CEMA using situational awareness technology to indicate the presence and direction of jamming signals. Whether on land, in the air or at sea, NovAtel customers use GAJT to protect GNSS navigation and precise timing receivers worldwide.

GAJT is a commercial off-the-shelf product for short order lead times and rapid deployment. It easily integrates into new platforms and can be retrofitted on existing and legacy military platforms.

The GAJT antennas started delivery within a month of order placement and will be completed in the summer.
