Teksam Company develops deployable mast technologies for defense and security applications through its TekMast, Teklite and Clark Masts product lines.
Manufactured and engineered in Belgium, the company’s systems are designed to support military communications, surveillance and sensor integration requirements across a wide range of operational environments.
The TekMast VPT is a Vertical Pneumatic Telescopic mast developed for tactical deployments where rapid setup and structural stability are critical operational requirements.
Pneumatic Mast Design for Mobile Operations
Modern military communication and ISR missions often require infrastructure that can be deployed quickly while maintaining stable positioning for antennas and sensor payloads. The TekMast VPT was developed to address these requirements through a pneumatic telescopic architecture combined with additional mechanical stabilization features.
The mast is intended for use in applications including temporary communication nodes, mobile command posts and surveillance positions operating in challenging terrain or rapidly changing operational conditions.
Integrated Stability Features
A central element of the VPT design is the use of longitudinal keyways extending along the mast sections. This configuration helps limit rotational movement caused by wind loading or the operation of directional antenna systems that require consistent alignment.
To further improve structural rigidity, each section is secured using mechanical clamp collars once the mast reaches operational height. This arrangement allows the mast to remain extended without relying solely on sustained pneumatic pressure.
The combination of pneumatic deployment and mechanical locking contributes additional torsional stiffness, helping maintain payload positioning accuracy during extended operations.
Rapid Single-Operator Deployment
The TekMast VPT was engineered for situations where setup time must be minimized. The mast can be deployed by a single operator within minutes, supporting fast establishment of communications and surveillance infrastructure in the field.
Optional field leg supports allow the system to operate independently from a vehicle platform when required. This enables deployment across uneven terrain and in locations where fixed vehicle positioning may not be practical.
Environmental Performance for Defense Applications
The VPT platform was developed in accordance with MIL-STD-810G environmental testing requirements associated with military use.
The mast is designed to operate across a broad range of environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures, dusty environments and rough transport conditions. Resistance to shock and vibration supports deployment following transportation over unpaved terrain or use on vehicle-mounted platforms.
Deployable Infrastructure for Communications and ISR Missions
The TekMast VPT combines rapid pneumatic deployment with mechanical stabilization features intended to support reliable operation in demanding tactical environments.
Designed for communications, surveillance and sensor support roles, the system expands the TekMast range of deployable mast technologies for defence organizations requiring mobility, structural stability and operational flexibility in the field.
