DSEI Japan 2027 will return from April 28 to 30, 2027, at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, as one of Japan’s leading large-scale, fully integrated defense events.

The event serves as a vital hub for connecting the global defense and security sector with Japan’s defense community and the broader Indo-Pacific region.

Supported by key Japanese ministries including the Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and ATLA, DSEI Japan plays a critical role in showcasing advanced technologies, strategic collaboration, and defense capability development in one of the world’s most dynamic security environments.

When is DSEI Japan 2027?

DSEI Japan 2027 is taking place April 28-30.

What’s On?

DSEI Japan 2027 will feature a multi-day program of exhibitions, immersive live demonstrations, and strategic networking opportunities. Attendees will engage with new defense technologies and interact directly with key decision-makers, government delegations, and military leaders from across the Indo-Pacific.

As of now, the official agenda, speaker list, and seminar schedule for DSEI Japan 2027 have not yet been released. These details are expected to be made available closer to the event date.

Conference & Themes

The overarching theme for 2027 is “Strengthening Indo-Pacific Security Through Advanced Technology.” Sessions are expected to explore:

• Regional defense readiness and rapid deployment
• Maritime and aerospace security
• Cyber defense and digital resilience
• Space domain awareness
• Interoperability and joint force capabilities
• Emerging and disruptive technologies

While the full conference agenda is pending publication, DSEI Japan traditionally includes high-level seminars, technical briefings, and workshops across all three days.

Exhibitor Showcase

DSEI Japan 2027 is set to welcome hundreds of Japanese and international exhibitors. While the confirmed exhibitor list is not yet available, the previous edition in 2025 featured:

• Over 470 exhibiting companies from 30+ countries
• National pavilions from the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, Italy, and more
• Live product demonstrations across land, sea, air, cyber, and space domains

Returning features are expected to include the Newcomer Zone, which highlights startups and SMEs within Japan’s defense industry.

Networking Opportunities

More than 13,000 attendees participated in the last edition of DSEI Japan, including over 1100 VIPs and 2137 military personnel. The 2027 event will again include structured networking formats such as:
